Pursuing God’s heart. If you are like me, the phrase grabs you. It tugs at your heart, stirring up a longing that you are sure is significant, important, that needs to be the center of your life.
We get to know God’s heart better as we get to know God’s Word better, the Bible better. The Bible is God’s story about God and us, about God’s heart for everyone everywhere, and about what God is doing about it.
As people in pursuit of God’s heart, we grow in understanding of God’s plans and purposes as we grasp and apply truths in God’s Word. As we grow in our knowledge of the Bible and the transformation God brings through the scriptures, we begin to realize the story isn’t just about us, but about God’s overarching mission. As we pursue God’s heart, as our hearts beat in rhythm with his, we begin to discover we fit into this incredible story.
